St. Mary of the Assumption Wedding Videographer :: Brookline, MA :: Jennifer and Greg (Part II - Wedding Vows and Rings)

When the pieces of the wedding day just seem to “come together” you know that all your hard work and planning have finally paid off.  That seems to be the case with Jennifer and Greg who got married on September 22, 2012 at the amazing St. Mary of the Assumption Parish (Brookline, MA).  If you’ve been reading along, you’ll remember Jennifer and Greg’s elegant dances at the Hampshire House (Boston, MA),  and if you want to see that clip again, click here.  But now let’s turn our attention to one of the most sacred moments of the wedding day... the wedding vows and exchange of rings.

One thing I love about their wedding ceremony is how the light from the church’s beautiful, cathedral ceilings mixes so well with the natural sunlight pouring through the majestic stained glass windows.  This wonderful glow throws just the perfect amount of highlight on the happy couple, and I’m thrilled with how the emotion of their special moment is captured through our lenses.  You can almost feel how happy Jennifer and Greg are to be proclaiming their love and devotion to each other.

For this part of their ceremony, Bill and I were positioned in different parts of the church.  Bill was in the back of the church capturing the straight-on shot, and I was positioned in the front of the church facing Jennifer.  A third camera was positioned at the front of the church looking toward Greg.  With the combination of these three shots, we were able to capture their wedding vows and ring exchange with hardly any movement, giving all the focus and attention to where it should be... to the happy bride and groom!

And just in case you're wondering why the dialogue sounds so great, no it's not because the priest was holding a microphone (although that microphone was being used to amplify dialogue on a PA system for all the guests in the church).  To capture the best quality audio of vows, ring exchanges, and other dialogue for the video, we provided the priest and Greg each a wireless lapel microphone.  These microphones are hardly noticeable (Greg's microphone was concealed behind his boutonniere) but provide amazingly clear dialogue, perfect for capturing vows even when being whispered by the bride and groom!

So let’s get to the clip, shall we?  And coming soon, Jennifer and Greg’s wedding recap!  Enjoy!

Moseley's on the Charles Wedding Videographer :: Dedham, MA :: Courtney and Scott (Part III - Wedding Recap)

And now, for the moment you’ve all been waiting for.... Courtney and Scott’s wedding recap!

There are so many great moments from Courtney and Scott’s amazing wedding.   From their grand full-mass wedding ceremony to their toe-tapping Thriller performance at the reception, we have tons of footage from their day of celebration.  For those of you who are lucky enough to see the full version of their wedding film, you’re in for a treat!  But don’t worry if you can’t see the full version, you can still get a glimpse into their amazing day through this five minute recap film that tells the story about Courtney and Scott’s special day.

When I first met with Courtney and Scott about a year before their wedding, they had all sorts of ideas of what they wanted for their wedding.  I had a feeling that their beagle Brandy (who is adorable!) would somehow be incorporated into their wedding.  And sure enough, there she was at the portrait session, all decorated with a fancy bow.  And let's not forget about the decadent cupcake display stacked layer upon layer with chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and decorated with a heart-shaped candy "S" on each one.

It’s been a thrilling ride working with Courtney and Scott, and I’m going to miss seeing their footage on our editing suite each day.   But their wedding day memories will only be a click of a mouse away, and you’re always welcome to come back and visit.  Best wishes to Courtney and Scott on a happy future together!

And now... the recap.  Happy New Year!

Holy Name Parish Wedding Videographer :: West Roxbury, MA :: Courtney and Scott

There’s something about Courtney and Scott that makes you want to smile.  Maybe it’s the way they were looking at each other so lovingly during their full-mass church ceremony.  Perhaps it’s how they were finishing each other’s sentences when I met with them to discuss their wedding day timeline.  Or maybe it’s just their excitement to be getting married to each other.  I love it when couples look so happy.

We started our day at the picturesque Arnold Arboretum a few hours prior to the ceremony to capture some great footage of the wedding party.  If you're looking for a beautiful, quiet place to take formal pictures (that's relatively close to Boston), this should be on your short list of places to check out.  Shawn was our second shooter for this wedding and he captured some great footage of Scott and his groomsmen on monopod while I captured Courtney and her bridesmaids on Steadicam.

We then packed up our gear and headed to Holy Name Parish (West Roxbury, MA) to prepare for the ceremony.  While I setup microphones and audio recorders throughout the church, Shawn was busy capturing detail shots and guests arriving at the church.  We have a ton of great footage to share with you for Courtney and Scott’s special day, but let’s start with their wedding vows.  I’m not sure if the guests at the wedding could hear the couple exchanging their vows to each other (it’s quite a large church!).  But thanks to the lapel microphone hidden on Scott’s tux, you can hear every word in perfect clarity.

Oceanview Wedding Videographer :: Nahant, MA :: Faith and Chris (Wedding Recap)

And now, time for the final installment of Faith and Chris' wedding.  When we last saw this couple, they were strategically cutting their wedding cake set to the theme song from "Perfect Strangers".  But their wedding was filled with so many exciting moments beyond their cake cutting.  So you want to see more?  OK, here you go.  Cue the drumroll, please.... we have a wedding recap ready to make its debut!

From heartfelt and personal vows to stunning sunset shots of the couple along the private beach at Oceanview to the high-energy dance floor, Faith and Chris' special day had all the elements of a truly memorable wedding.  And we are so honored to have been part of all the festivities.  Special thanks to Julie Surette from Julie Surette Photography for sharing some of her amazing still images with our studio (seriously, check out her work.... she is a stunning photographer!).  Faith and Chris, it's been a wonderful journey working with the two of you and we wish you the best of luck!

And without further delay, Faith and Chris' wedding recap.  Enjoy!

Lake Pearl Wedding Videographer :: Wrentham, MA :: Jenna and Paul

Time for more fun with Jenna and Paul!

By now, you know that Jenna and Paul are a fun-loving and energetic couple.  And when I say fun-loving and energetic, I mean anything goes with these two!  Neeta and I were on our toes the entire night trying to keep up with them and their wedding party.  And speaking of toes, did I mention that there were some amazing dancers at their wedding?  Hopefully you’ve already seen Jenna and her father perform their elegant foxtrot-swing medley for their father-daughter dance.  But Paul surprised us when we saw him burn the floor with his own fancy footwork!  Check out the recap to see just how much fun these two had at their wedding.  Just one question, how does the guy (toward the end of the recap film) do all those insane dance moves?  I wish I could move like him!

Special thanks to Ron Kolias Photography for the stunning still pictures.  There are so many amazing photos from their wedding, but I think this is one of my all-time favorites.  If you’re looking for a great wedding photographer, Ron Kolias MUST be on your short-list!  He’s super easy to work with and he produces some of the most amazing photos I have ever seen.  Thanks to Ron for sharing some of his images with me.  Here’s what the front of Jenna and Paul’s Blu-ray disc case looks like:

It’s been such a blast working with Jenna and Paul, and we’re going to miss seeing their footage on a daily basis.  But not to worry, you haven’t seen the last of this couple!  We’ll be updating our rotating header (for our blog) soon, and you may see some familiar faces at the top of our blog!  Check back in mid-January for the new headers to go live.  Until then, happy holidays everyone.  Looking forward to a great wedding season in 2012!

Barker Tavern Wedding Videographer :: Scituate Harbor, MA :: Katelyn and Damon

And now, the final installment featuring Katelyn and Damon.  The moment you've all been waiting for.... their wedding recap film.

I recently met up with Damon to deliver their trueDEMO disc (essentially a "proof" of the wedding film prior to the final discs being produced and delivered).  Unfortunately, Katelyn had to work late that night so I couldn't say hi to her, but she had given him instructions not to watch the trueDEMO disc without her!  It makes me really happy when couples can't wait to watch their wedding films.  Sort of like an affirmation that all their months of hard work and wedding planning have finally paid off and they can sit back and be "guests" at their own wedding.

We've had a blast working with Katelyn and Damon, and we wish them all the best for the years to come.  Enjoy!

Crane Estate Wedding Videographer :: Ipswich, MA :: Nicole and Keith

A fun- and easy-going couple, an energetic wedding party, supportive family members, and two beautifully picturesque venues. I’ve just described Nicole and Keith’s wedding! For all of you who have been waiting to see their wedding recap, the wait is now over!

There’s something about the smiles on the faces of Nicole and Keith…. You can’t help but smile yourself when you see how happy these newlyweds look. Maybe it was having friends and family members watch over their spiritually lifting orthodox Greek ceremony at St. Helen and Constantine Greek Orthodox Church. Or perhaps it was the beautiful sunset with rays of orange and red streaming over the lush green lawn of the Crane Estate. Whatever it was, you can tell that Nicole and Keith are so happy to be together on this special day. I especially love the closing Steadicam shot of the two of them, as you get glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful lawn of the Crane Estate.

So farewell to Nicole and Keith as we move on to our next project. It’s been a pleasure working with you and who knows, maybe our paths will cross again in the future! From all of us at True Focus Films, we wish you a beautiful future together.

And now, the recap film of Nicole and Keith, set to their first dance song of “Stuck on You” by Lionel Richie! Enjoy!
