True Focus Films is a husband-wife team of wedding filmmakers. We are passionate about life, family, and artistically capturing one of life's greatest moments... the wedding day. On larger film projects, you may see additional people working with us. But we're the core of True Focus Films, and the driving force behind your cinematic wedding film. And here's the best part -- because we're married ourselves (to each other!), you could say that we have a pretty good idea of what goes into planning for a wedding!
OK, some fun facts about us. We love to travel. Road trips are always fun, but our favorite destinations are international sites. No cell service? No problem... we actually like to get a little lost and figure our way around the area. We've been to some amazing destinations and pull inspiration from all of nature's beauty!
RICHARD KIM / CINEMATOGRAPHY
I've been producing films for over 15 years. I'm upbeat, always have a smile on my face, and I absolutely love to capture footage with a cinematic flair. My friends and family will tell you that I pretty much have a camera (all the time!) to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments... it's just who I am. My favorite wedding moments? Preparations BEFORE the wedding ceremony... this is the ONLY part of the day where the couple won't know what's going on until they see their wedding film! It's a complete surprise (and a treat, I should add!) for the couple to see what was going on behind closed doors as they prepared for their big day!
NEETA BANSAL / POST-PRODUCTION
I bring over 10 years of design and filmmaking experience to the team. Working primarily in the post-production role (after the event recording is complete), I oversee music selection, editing and design layout. My favorite aspect of wedding filmmaking? Making sure the music used in the production perfectly suits the style of the film (and that of the wedding couple). I love it when our wedding highlight films evoke the “feel” of the day through our cinematic editing and music selection.
